The IN:LA(SM) Card from American Express is designed for those with good credit who live in or frequently visit Los Angeles and plan to take advantage of the various benefits and participating services that are in Los Angeles.

In reference to the reward program, one INSIDE Rewards point is earned for every dollar spent on gene ral purchases. Double points are awarded for every dollar spent on "City Essentials", which include newspaper and magazine subscriptions, movies, dining, cell phone services, cable and dial-up ISP subscriptions, and gym memberships. Points can be redeemed for benefits and experiences based in LA, Chicago, and New York City, such as free hotel stays, dining, and airline travel. An added benefit is that earned points never expire and have no yearly limit.

Perhaps what is most impressive about the program is the Tuesdays IN:LA program. Cardholders can use the card at select participating retailers, spas, and health clubs on any Tuesday and get 10% off their purchases. The IN:LA Card also provides cardhol_ders with priority access to clubs and VIP rooms, and it can help save on museum memberships, concerts, and more.

The interest rate for purchases is considered very low (for a reward card), and there is no annual fee. There is also a 0% introductory rate for purchases and balance transfers for the first six months.

This card also provides a variety of standard benefits that include travel accident insurance, auto rental insurance, and various fraud protection services with each usage (see website for all benefits available).

Therefore, those who can afford to pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges), frequently stay or live in Los Angeles (to earn additional points), and can accumulate enough points for dining and entertainment experiences will benefit most from what the IN:LA(SM) Card from American Express has to offer.
