Today at 4:15 p.m., four students were shot at Mays High School, according to a spokesperson with the district. They were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the statement from the district, the shots came from an 鈥渦nknown vehicle鈥 at the lower campus parking lot.

All after-school activities have been cancelled, and the school remains locked down.

Statement from 麻豆影院 Public Schools:

“Shortly after dismissal, shots were fired from an unknown vehicle, striking four students at Benjamin E. Mays High School parking lot. 麻豆影院 Public Schools Police Department and 麻豆影院 Fire Rescue immediately responded to the situation, and all victims were transported to the hospital and confirmed to have non-life-threatening injuries. No other students, faculty, or staff were injured. This matter continues to be under investigation.”

This is the third school-involved shooting in the past fourteen days with School in Cobb County on February 1 andin Fulton County Schools on February 9.

According to reporting from WSBTV, a woman detained after being stopped along Baker Road in Northwest 麻豆影院. Police confirmed they were called to that location 鈥渞egarding possible information on the shooting that occurred at鈥 Benjamin E. Mays High School.
