On Tuesday afternoon, the Cherokee County Sports Hall of Fame announced that it has chosen to honor twelve Cherokee County School District Class of 2021 graduates.
This organization recognizes the most outstanding senior male and female athletes from all of Cherokee County School District鈥檚 high schools every spring. Awardees are nominated through their school鈥檚 administrators based on their athletic performance throughout their high school careers. These honorees are part of a separate program from the Hall of Fame鈥檚 annual ceremony, which inducts prestigious individuals who have distinguished themselves in Cherokee County athletics.
We鈥檙e so proud of these graduates for their exceptional accomplishments in our classrooms, our athletic arenas, and our community,鈥 said Superintendent Dr. Brian V. Hightower. 鈥淲e wish them the best as they continue their education and dedication to their sport. The Class of 2021 honorees is as follows: Dom DeLillo and Kate Johnson of Cherokee High School, Taylor Harris and Ciara Miles of River Ridge High School, Grant Anderson and Makena Gates of Creekview High School, Michael Roe and Glenda Setlock of Woodstock High School, Brock Rechsteiner and Kinsey Norton of Etowah High School, and Carson Thorne and Paige Powers of Sequoyah High School.
